Stanion Church of England Primary School
Stanion CE (Aided) Primary School is a voluntary aided Church of England school which seeks to reflect the practice and traditions of the Church of England, in accordance with its trust deed.
We are a school for 4 to 11 years old. The school is very popular and we currently have 102 pupils on roll coming from the villages of Stanion, Little Stanion, Little Oakley and Great Oakley and the town of Corby.
Our Christian ethos underpins everything that takes place in school. We promote the importance of every child knowing they are valued as an individual and developing a mutual esteem of others based upon an acceptance of others.
We aim to:
* Provide a safe, healthy and happy place for learning and fun;
* Help each person gain the skills they need to be confident members of the community;
* Encourage each person in their life’s journey to achieve the best they can.
Our facilities include an ICT suite, a fully fitted kitchen for learning and a library with internet research facilities which the children can use every day. Our Reception and Key Stage 1 children have access to a well-equipped outside area which includes an all-weather surface, sand pit, sensory area, quiet area, a summer house and small vegetable areas for all the school. Each classroom is fitted with an interactive whiteboard which teachers use daily to aid teaching and learning. The school grounds are completely secure and are edged with mature trees and hedges and include a large field area marked out for games and an adventure trail.
We have an experienced Governing Body that works hard to support the school and a dedicated team of staff. We value our partnerships with parents and the wider community.
We provide a caring, stimulating and enjoyable learning environment where our children’s opinions and views are important. We offer a range of after school activities for children in Key Stage 2 which change regularly ensuring that there is something for everybody. We have an active School Council where children have their say in the running of the school.
We hope you find all the information you need. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any further assistance.
